Mr Stephen Toynton

Having trained in London at St. Thomas’s Hospital Medical School, Stephen completed his Senior Registrar Training at St. Thomas’s & Guy’s Hospitals London, and advanced paediatric ENT at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children London, obtaining Fellowships of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1991 and 1995. He worked as a Consultant and Clinical Director at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust for 16 years between 1996 and 2012, and was also the Otology advisor to the Diving Diseases and Hyperbaric Medicine Research Centre in Plymouth UK. Also a former council member of both the British Association of Otorhinolaryngology and the British Association of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology and current member of the Prosper Meniére Society and New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.

Ear surgery, in particular cholesteatoma, hearing reconstruction, and stapes surgery
Balance disorders and Meniére’s Disease
Trauma of the ear associated with head injuries and Scuba divers
Specialist paediatric ENT.
